A few simple steps and a quick call to us, and you are home. We will open the street door and the inner gate for you.

Street door
At Piazza della Pigna 6, call or message us on WhatsApp and we will open the street door for you. The intercom is on the right of the door; ring the bell marked LA PIGNA.

Inner gate
Go up the stairs and ring LA PIGNA once more. We will open the inner gate for you.

Step 3
Lift & floor
The apartment is on the 2nd floor (in Italy the ground floor is 0). The lift fits 2 people and cannot be used for luggage on its own.

Apartment door
Second floor, first door on the left. On the right of the door there is a numeric keypad. Enter the code:

Nuki lock
To open, click twice on the centre of the Nuki lock; to close, click once. Please hold the door firmly in place while opening and closing.

Your keys
Two sets of keys are on the tray by the entrance. Key 1: street front door. Key 2: door before the lift.
Operating the door
From the inside
  1. To open: click twice on the centre of the Nuki lock, then press the handle down and pull the door open.
  2. To close: click once on the centre of the Nuki lock.
  3. Hold the door firmly in place while the lock turns.
From the outside
  1. To close and lock: hold the door firmly in position and press the small triangle ◀ on the black numeric keypad (the same one you use to open the door from outside).
If the lock does not respond, wait a couple of seconds and try again. Please do not force the handle.

House rules

By booking the apartment you accept our Terms and Conditions, which we kindly ask you to respect.

Check-in: 3:00 PM onwards. Check-out: by 11:00 AM on the day of departure. By prior agreement, arrivals can be arranged at any time of day.
Early check-in: possible if the apartment was free the night before. If not, use our Luggage deposit at Advena (Via del Gesù 73).
Late check-out: subject to availability. If unavailable, check-out remains by 11:00 AM and you can use our Luggage deposit at Advena (Via del Gesù 73).
Guests: only those listed in the reservation may stay. Increasing the number is possible on prior agreement; reducing it is subject to no refund.
Noise: please respect the neighbours. In line with building and Municipal Police rules, keep quiet during these hours:

Loud music and parties are strictly prohibited.
If neighbours complain or the police are called for excessive noise, the stay may be ended immediately with loss of any prepaid rent and deposit.
Furniture: please respect the décor. Furniture may not be moved.
Lights, appliances, A/C and heating: switch everything off when you leave the apartment.
Responsibility: the owner is not responsible for guests' personal security or for items lost or stolen inside the apartment.
Surveillance: for everyone's safety, a security camera is placed at the entrance of the apartment.

Check-out

We hope you enjoyed your stay with us in Rome. As your departure approaches, please check out by 11:00 AM and kindly take a moment for the following.

City tax

Please make sure the city tax (€6 per person, per night, for guests over 10 years old) is settled before departure. You can pay:

  • Cash: directly with the building concierge, Mr. Asoka (Piazza della Pigna 6).
  • Card: online via the secure link below.

Garbage

You may leave the rubbish inside the apartment, or take it to the basement, where you will find the larger bins for separate waste collection.

Beds & towels
  • Please leave the beds unmade.
  • Place all used towels together in one spot on the floor.
Before leaving
  • Turn off all lights and electrical appliances.
  • Leave the two sets of keys on the plate by the entrance.
Building exits

If the downstairs doors are closed:

  • Security gate after the lift: open with the white switch on the left.
  • Front door: open with the red switch in the centre of the lock.

  1. Colosseum · book a timed entry and start early to beat the queues.
  2. Roman Forum & Palatine Hill · included with most Colosseum tickets.

  4. Circus Maximus · a gentle finish along the ancient chariot track.
Tip: from the apartment, walking is best, about 25 minutes on foot.

Tip: this whole loop is walkable from Via del Gesù, mostly car-free lanes.
